ORGANIZATIONAL TRAINING

GenderStrategy tailors its programs to address the unique needs and composition of each organization.   While we provide the outline below of one of our  most popular introductory programs, we welcome the opportunity to discuss your organization’s challenges and opportunities, and will gladly recommend or create a program to improve employee performance and deliver results to your bottomline!

Understanding Gender Communication -- 101

Morning Session

Step ONE: In the morning, we hold separate sessions for men and women.  This gives everyone a chance to speak frankly.   Participants are given the opportunity to relate their experiences, air their concerns, identify what they feel are obstacles and ask questions.

Step TWO: Men and women are educated in the differing styles of gender expression through presentation and breakout exercises.

Communicating with Women
(for men)

Communication is a two-way street.  Learn to listen to the real message.

Communication is more than words; is body language sending you the wrong message?

“What do they WANT”? Help your employees learn to tell you.

Communicating with Men
(for women)

Words matter.  How often do you say “I’m sorry!” and what does that say about you?

Communication is more than words. Do you look and sound like a leader?

He “should have known!” It’s not your boss’s job to know what you want.  It’s your job to tell him

Afternoon Session

Step THREE: In the afternoon, everyone meets together and we engage in a series of exercises –opportunities for the participants to see and experience what they’ve been learning in the morning.  And we have a lot of fun!

Video training      Role play      Video feedback      Interactive exercises      Group break-outs
